In Neighborhood on the verge: Portland’s East End comes into its own, the Globe gives a short tour around the East End—down Congress Street running from the center of Munjoy Hill, to the India Street neighborhood with established restaurants and waterfront, to the “multicultural vibe” of Washington Avenue. The Globe interviews and photographs patrons and shop owners in some of our neighborhood’s locally owned shops and restaurants—a quirky collection that helps foster the “East End’s emerging identity as one of Portland’s coolest spots.”
