On Friday, December 7, join Friends of Lincoln Park at 4:30 PM for a winter lights celebration. The acclaimed Pandora LaCasse will flip the switch activating the Pandora Winter Lights display for the second season at Lincoln Park.

Pandora LaCasse Design has been lighting up Portland for many winter seasons, and the Friends are thrilled to once again welcome her illuminated creations to Lincoln Park. Come early and admire your newly-restored park!

The new display expands Pandora’s city-wide installation of winter lights by bringing them to the east side of the city, and helping to promote initiatives to restore Lincoln Park the vibrant city park it was designed to be.

About Lincoln Park

Portland’s oldest park at Congress and Franklin Streets was created in 1866. The park’s 1870 French fountain was recently refurbished for the first time in almost 150 years and is now fully functional again, another milestone in the revitalization endeavor between Friends of Lincoln Park and the City of Portland. The fountain and lights represent the first use of electricity in the park!

2018’s focus is on securing 32 sponsors, through private and corporate participation, for new Worlds Fair benches with personalized brass plaques; 16 are already reserved.  The City will begin restoration of the 1866 iron fence, granite piers and elaborate gates in 2019, and the Friends are currently overseeing the planting of two Victorian gardens.  Learn more at lovelincolnpark.org
