While the majority of the buyers in NewHeight Group’s prior Portland buildings have moved from other locations in Maine, the current situation with COVID-19 has significantly increased interest in Maine real estate from out-of-state buyers. One of the major lessons we have learned from these buyers is the special nature of residences facing parks. In reflection, it makes sense: in many cities, especially New York and Boston, the premier real estate overlooks a park, the most obvious examples being Boston Common and Central Park.

These out-of-state buyers recognize the benefit of the Verdante views over Lincoln Park—not just unobstructed but “unobstructable” (we know this is not currently considered a word, but NHG is not afraid to introduce new words to Maine along with new building components). Providing privacy—no neighbors across the street looking into your windows—is only the start. From the budding trees in spring, through the lush green of summer and bright autumn colors, to the winter light sculptures, the Park provides visual candy year-round. And, the lighted clock tower on City Hall is a beautiful and ever-present beacon. Finally, the park-view units at Verdante are one of the few places in the city where views of the neoclassical façade of the Federal Court House can be enjoyed.
Most remaining Verdante units not facing the park overlook Casco Bay and/or Munjoy Hill, providing the benefits of privacy and beauty throughout the building. To experience these special Verdante views, contact us for a private tour of the construction site.
